The Ayahuasca trips and Moneyball references seem to have influenced the Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers in many ways. Just days after their first preseason loss to the San Francisco 49ers, the franchise quarterback was busy lecturing the newcomers and figuring out ways to resolve the problem. But that’s when he was surprised by a Nic Cage’s bust in the locker room. Although it was all anonymous in the beginning; Rodgers has just found out the person sending him this gift.

As always, Aaron Rodgers arrived at this year’s training camp in style. He knows that his days to hang the cleats are near, and so a refreshing exit would be a much cooler way to close his chapter, something that he vowed earlier this offseason. He arrived as Cameron Poe from the 1997 hit film Con Air. It was Nicolas Cage’s character in the drama, which was one of the most famous characters in those days.
Moreover, the quarterback didn’t just nail it; he was exactly the same with his outfit and beard. Well, this seems to have impressed his former teammate and linebacker, A J Hawk, who is currently working as a sports analyst alongside Pat McAfee in his famous Pat McAfee show.
Very important news: Aaron Rodgers revealed to The Athletic that he has learned the identities of the people who sent him the Nic Cage bust that is now wearing headphones in his locker.

On Thursday, Rodgers showcased the bust in his locker room surrounding the media reporters. “It’s Nic Cage!” Rodgers said when asked about the resemblance to the face. “Somebody sent this to me yesterday with no message,” he added. The confusion got cleared after he finally revealed the man behind it. He told Matt Schneidman (Packers Reporter) that AJ Hawk sent him the bust and affirmed that he was pleased to have received such a gesture from his buddy. Well, this was not the only thing that created a buzz across social media. Rodgers’ recent comments about wide receivers did gather a lot of media attention.
Aaron Rodgers makes a bold statement regarding the Wide Receivers
Post their 28-21 loss to the Niners in the first game of the preseason, Aaron Rodgers didn’t seem pleased with the team’s overall performance. He took a hit at the wideouts, especially the newcomers, to improve their areas of weakness. “It’s, unfortunate, some of the same guys… repeat mistakes [are] a problem, so we’ve just got to clean those things up a little bit. The young guys, especially young receivers, we’ve got to be way more consistent.” Rodgers said Tuesday.

The 38-year-old is clearly missing the presence of five-time Pro Bowler Davante Adams on the roster. He vowed to make up for the loss recently by grooming the new faces and making equivalent passes and touchdowns. And thus, he was constantly trying to make up for the loss by boosting the morale of other receivers in the locker room. Similarly, the veteran went for Ayahuasca trips in this off-season and claimed to have relished his dream of playing on the field again.

“I think I just fell in love with [football] a little bit deeper,” he said. “Again, I think a lot of that is due to the work that I’ve done on myself. It hasn’t all been just the ayahuasca journey.” Rodgers said in an interview. Well, it’s time to see how much the veteran has benefited from such treatments and give the wide receivers their doses for improvement.
