The Super Bowl LVII drew curtains on the 2022 NFL season on Sunday. Like every year, companies poured millions into their Super Bowl ads. But they failed to impress the NFL world with those, along with the highly anticipated halftime show. Fans are livid with the unfunny commercials and an unimpressive halftime show by Rihanna.
But they got their money’s worth out of the game itself as the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles battled it out. The ‘Patrick Mahomes Mania’ was apparently the only saving grace for them.

The commercials are a big part of the Super Bowl tradition in the US. Companies pay millions for a few seconds of airtime during the sporting extravaganza. But this year, most fans complained that the fun element was missing from the commercials. That added to the already unimpressive Super Bowl halftime show by Rihanna. Here are a few fan reactions.

This fan has put up a leave application at work after watching the Super Bowl ads.

Another fan is trying to get all the companies a good return on investment.
I like to make sure that all these companies who bought Super Bowl ads get a good return on their investment. So I’m buying one of every product I saw an ad for. Does anyone know where I can buy one Jesus?

Popstar Rihanna performed live for the first time since 2018 and the fans waited with bated breath for that. But in the end, that was also a major disappointment due to the lip sync fiasco. The only plus point of the whole night was the game itself.
The Patrick Mahomes mania

Patrick Mahomes gave the fans something to cheer about with a huge comeback performance for the Chiefs. Mahomes and Co. struggled to get going properly in the first three quarters. The Eagles led the game 27-21 as the teams entered the fourth quarter. But until Mahomes is on the field, the game is never over.
It turned into a classic in the final quarter, with both teams tied at 35 with five minutes to go. Harrison Butker got the honor of kicking the Super Bowl winning field goal. And the Chiefs lifted their second championship in the last four seasons.
