Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones has faced backlash from fans regarding one of their recent partnership deals. The announcement of the marketing agreement with Black Rifle Coffee Co., which sells provocatively named blends, has garnered attention. It has echoed the sentiments of the reputation of the Cowboys as a ‘marketing company that plays football’.

In a recent clarifying statement about the partnership, Jones states, “Every cup of coffee in the stadium, every bag of Cowboys coffee sold, represents a step in fulfilling the Black Rifle mission — another veteran employed, another first-responder receiving support, or another community event to help adaptive military athletes thrive in the civilian world. We support military members and first responders year-round.”
While the official announcement was made on the Cowboys’ official Twitter account, fans were quick to criticize the franchise. Having blends with inflammatory names like “AK-47 Espresso,” “Silencer Smooth,” and “Murdered Out“, the partnership sends mixed signals.
