The NFL draft is the time when dreams come to life in the NFL. Bryce Young went a little bit further in his dream and bagged the number one overall spot in the 2023 draft. But apart from his talent on the field that got the Carolina Panthers to pick him with the very first chance, the Crimson Tide QB’s apparel fit for the day also caught many eyes. After initially slipping on the real truth, Young then accepted taking the help of a committee in finalizing his cold fit.

Young became one of the three quarterbacks to go within the first four draft picks in Kansas City. While many had concerns regarding his height, the Panthers discarded it and went for him anyway. The Panthers’ QB for the future opened up about his choice of clothes for the big day after getting the call from Charlotte, North Carolina.

Bryce Young appeared on a podcast right after the Panthers made him the first overall pick. There he answered all questions regarding his future in the NFL. But one off the field question kind of tripped him up. He slipped up a little on the question of his choice of clothes but quickly admitted the truth.

“It was my fit. I had hoped, don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t just me. I’m definitely not saying I had a couple of people. It was a committee but I mean I didn’t just blindly put it on. You know I had a little bit of a say in it but I definitely had people help me. I have a great team behind me and they helped me put it together. It wasn’t all me but I was involved,” Young said on the ‘Pivot podcast: NFL draft special’.

Young wore a light pink suit without a tie. And he didn’t need the tie because of the white tee situation under the jacket. The committee did its work pretty well. And the Panthers would hope he will shine in their colors too.

Their GM defended their new draft pick even before the draft began, comparing his height to that of Russell Wilson. Can he help the Panthers achieve their goal?
