The Aaron Rodgers legacy at the Green Bay Packers has come to an end. Many believe that Rodgers’s supremacy has led to other players surrounding him shining on the field too. But his ex-teammate Davante Adams does not believe in this narrative, proving himself in his first season without the acclaimed QB at the Las Vegas Raiders. The 4X MVP QB will be looking forward to writing a different chapter of his new life with the New York Jets. Ever since his move to New York, fans, as well as the franchise, have bet their hopes on Rodgers taking them to another Super Bowl title in decades. The last time the Jets won a Super Bowl was when Joe Namath was their QB in 1969. And now, they are hoping that bringing in Aaron Rodgers will also bring an end to their Super Bowl Championship drought.
But Aaron Rodgers is not the only player the Jets have acquired in the offseason. They have also signed a few other players from the Packers to get A-Rod comfortable with the roster for the new season. And A-Rod has this particular partiality for a player brought in this offseason from the Packers, with whom he has played for years in his previous franchise.

The New York Jets’ YouTube page recently posted a short documentary that follows the arrival of A-Rod to New York. In the documentary, he talks about how he’s excited to work with offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett, who has experience calling offensive plays with Aaron Rodgers at the Packers from 2019 to 2021. The QB also talks about WR Allen Lazard, who is also now with the Jets to bolster the arsenal surrounding Rodgers on the field. Lazard has the experience of playing with the 4X MVP QB at the Packers ever since signing with them back in 2018. And Rodgers is looking forward to carrying that chemistry with the WR in New York as well.
In the documentary, the 39-year-old QB said, “I think they’ve added some good pieces. Obviously Allen Lazard. I’m partial to him. I’ve played with him for a number of years now. I love him. He’s an incredible guy.” During his stint with Rodgers at Green Bay, Lazard has 169 catches for 2,236 yards with 20 touchdowns.

Even before the trade, Lazard was confident of his former teammate joining him in New York. And now they will be looking forward to further building their experience of playing with each other for their new team.
Will the Rodgers-Lazard chemistry continue in New York?
Apart from their professional relationship, the duo also share a friendship off the field. Before the A-Rod trade, Lazard’s training with Rodgers went viral on social media. The WR also talked about how he is excited to work with Nathaniel Hackett and Rodgers in New York. Lazard said that apart from Hackett, the QB is the main reason why he made his decision to sign a four-year contract with the Jets. And with other developing talents like Sauce Gardner and Garrett Wilson, the Jets roster for the new season looks like a Super Bowl contention-worthy team.
