About Deiondra Sanders

Not many are blessed with an elite Hall Of Fame career, let alone excel in two sports. But Deion Sanders is one of the chosen ones. While Sanders and his exploits in both football and baseball are well known, he is not the only athlete in the family.

Sanders’ greatness is mimicked by his children, a daughter, Deiondra, 31, sons, Deion Jr. 29, Shilo, 23, Shedeur, 21, and daughter Shelomi, 18. Fans got to watch closely the family dynamic Sanders shares with his five kids, and his second ex-wife Pilar Biggers-Sanders thanks to the successful reality TV show, Deion’s Family Playbook.

While the family continues putting out world-class athletes, the eldest Deiondra is a successful entrepreneur. Back in 2019, Deiondra aligned as the face and the backbone of her online shoe boutique “House of Sole” along with launching her very own hair line “Love Me Extensions”. The end goal was to provide affordable hair and shoes, inspiring others to feel confident and beautiful along the way. And the oldest of Sanders’ children certainly did that.

Before Fame and Trivia

Before taking over reality TV and making her mark as the director of communications for Sc3 Sports Management, Deiondra Sanders was a regular kid with big dreams. However, it was often her parents that stuck the most, and Deiondra would rather describe the experience as ‘bittersweet’.

Recalling her early days, Deiondra shared, “The bitter part is because I was always judged a lot at school, I didn’t have, like, as many friends. I was always traveling with my parents. “But it was great because, I mean, I probably grew up how every kid would want to, so that was the great part, the sweet part. It was traveling all the time, meeting celebrities, we had chefs

While Deion Sanders’ is one of the most well-known names in the sporting world, the same cannot be said for his first wife and Deiondra’s mother, Carolyn Chambers. Chambers met Sanders back in the 90s, and after dating for a year decided to tie the knot on 14th Sep 1989. Three years later, a beautiful Deiondra Sanders was born. The marriage went strong for nine long years, but then the couple decided to go their separate ways for unknown reasons. Despite her seemingly difficult personal life, Deiondra Sanders has continued giving back to the community, co-founding the Anything Is Possible foundation.

Family Life

As we have already established, Deiondra Sanders is the oldest daughter of Deion Sanders. Deiondra and Deion Sanders Jr., share the same mother, Carolyn Chambers, while her other three siblings are a result of Sanders’ relationship with his second wife, Pilar Biggers-Sanders. Much like her father, Deiondra was also big into sports, coming up as a talented basketball player. Her brothers have however followed in their father’s footsteps, with Sanders even coaching Shilo and Shedeur at Jackson State — and now Colorado University.

Deiondra’s mother however had a different background. Carolyn Chambers is an academic, boasting a Master’s degree in Business Administration in Tax and Specialization. She started her career as a real estate broker and then transitioned to a notary signing agent for many famous celebrities. Deiondra shares similar inclinations to her mother, making a name for herself in business as the director of communications for Sc3 Sports Management since June 2019.

Speaking on her father’s influence, Deiondra said, “I do like that my dad’s legacy gets me in the door, But I always say, I, myself, and my hard work is what keeps me there … people are starting to come up to me and know me for, that I work with athletes.

While Deiondra continues building up her legacy in the world of business, she has her fair share of moments of fame.

Deiondra’s love life

Throughout her younger days, Deiondra would often watch her father juggle two different sporting careers. Her adult years were however spent surrounded by cameras and making appearances on reality TV shows. Back in 2008, Deiondra was a regular on the reality show Deion and Pilar: Prime Time Love. Then in 2015, she was on air for Deion’s Family Playbook. The show primarily focused on Sanders and his five children, while allowing fans a sneak peek into his love life with Tracey Edmonds.

However, in stark contrast to her father, Deiondra Sanders believes in keeping her love life extremely private. She often describes herself as a ‘hopeless romantic’, and still out there looking for the ideal partner. Her most notable relationships have been with Love & Hip Hop star Nia Riley and Basketball Player Quincy Miller.

Back in 2010, rumors of Deiondra Sanders and Nia Riley took over the Internet. Claims of the two even sharing a home were made, however, neither Deiondra nor Riley has confirmed or denied these claims. Similar claims came up with basketball player and Denver Nuggets’ second-round pick Quincy Miller. However, those rumors quickly died down as Miller was suspected of cheating.

Deiondra’s Sanders controversy

Despite these cheating claims, it was not the biggest controversy that Deiondra Sanders found herself in. Earlier this year, Coach Prime’s oldest daughter made some comments about the ‘murders’ at Jackson State University.

The thing that people don’t know is like … it is more than football in Jackson, People don’t know that they are killings on the (Jackson State) campus every few months. Yeah, they don’t know that. They are breaking into the locker rooms and stealing from the students” expressed Deiondra. She further claimed that her father doesn’t feel safe at the school and even called out the community for not appreciating the greatness of Coach Prime.

Her comments were however not received in the manner she intended, as many felt offended and soon the situation started spiraling out of control. To calm down the chaos, Deiondra Sanders took to Twitter to issue and heartfelt apology. Deiondra maintained that she might have exaggerated the situation as she was made aware of the gruesome violence every time she visited the school. Since then, the outrage has been dialed back, and Deiondra Sanders is back to living her best life.
