The Buffalo Bills are one of the most prominent small-market NFL teams. While being based in Buffalo, it is the second-largest city in the state of New York. And the Bills have been nothing but a staple for the city. Now the team is in for an upgrade, with a new State-of-the-art stadium. However, when compared to new plans of stadiums for the Tennessee Titans, the Bills’ new ground design will lack in some departments. Fans are not feeling the same excitement as the organization.

Buffalo recently released renderings of their new stadium. While the state-of-the-art stadium is supposed to be a celebration of the city and its culture. It seems like the render has not struck the same cord with the fans themselves. Many of the replies seen on the post were more in a critical approach than a joyful one. The stadium lacking a roof came especially under the microscope. And rival fans also did not miss the opportunity to get their shots in as well.

Fans React to the new Buffalo Bills stadium

While the Buffalo bills are currently one of the favorites for winning the Super Bowl. Seeing their previous run-ins with the Kansas City Chiefs, fans feel like the new stadium will witness more of the same.

The new stadium

Earlier this year, reports came out about the new stadium. After a change in ownership in 2014. When Terry Pegula acquired the Bills. The team would not commit to a new lease beyond 2023. To make sure that the city does not lose one of its jewels. The deal was agreed upon for a new $1.4 billion stadium.

The stadium will be collectively funded by Erie County, who will pitch in $250 million. While the Bills will have to take out $550 million from their own purse. And the state of New York will pay the rest, which will be around $600 million.
