The Chiefs are known for their resilience, and their ability to bounce back from a tough phase. Needless, to say, the previous season’s Super Bowl match against the Philadelphia Eagles was a true illustration of what the Chiefs can do.
Ahead of the week 2 match-up against the Jacksonville Jaguars, the team’s quarterback Patrick Mahomes appeared in a press conference where he highlighted their preparation and revived confidence for their upcoming game. Moreover, the QB jokingly made a comment about HC Andy Reid.

Mahomes and Reid appeared in a commercial ad for the State Farm. However, in the ad, Mahomes and Reid munched on cheeseburgers, and at one moment Reid snatched the burger from Mahomes.
Following this commercial, in the recent video uploaded by the KMBC YouTube channel, Mahomes shared about his preparation and the team’s energy before their game against the Jaguars. However, in the end, when asked about Reid in the context of the commercial, Mahomes exclaimed, “I try to keep the nuggets, I keep my cheeseburgers away from the coach.”
In the following video, Mahomes also described the team’s renewed energy, where he highlighted the positive ambiance in the team. Moreover, for the Chiefs, the star defensive tackle Chris Jones is back in the team, and the tight end, Travis Kelce after his recovery from a hyperextended knee is speculated to be entering the Gridiron in the upcoming match, along with Jones.

The Chiefs assembling for their next game
The Kansas City Chiefs signed defensive tackle Chris Jones for a one-year contract. Over a contract dispute with the Chiefs, Jones decided to hold out for the game against the Lions. Where the star defender Jones and star TE Travis Kelce’s absence were the primary concerns in the Chiefs’ camp. However, ahead of their next game, both Jones and Kelce are speculated to enter the gridiron, and possibly the Chiefs claiming their first victory of the season.
Shedding light on the team’s revived energy Mahomes stated, “Guys are ready to go. We didn’t like the way we played last Thursday. So, guys are ready to get out there, and prove to everybody and even ourselves who we really are.” Needless to say, the Chiefs’ are looking good, and with Jones and Kelce taking their positions against the Jaguars, the Chiefs will be complete and equipped for their first victory.
