Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady and legendary Chicago Bulls shooting guard Michael Jordan possess a similar winning mentality that made them the best in their sport. The drive to be the greatest has led both athletes to the pinnacle of their respective professions. But they also had other motivations key to their success. Apart from the supreme confidence in their abilities, both Brady and Jordan are fierce competitors.
However, the 6-time NBA champion with the Chicago Bulls seemed unaware of this uncanny yet surprising similarity. In 2015, both Brady and Jordan were visiting the Bahamas on vacation and were open to playing some golf. During their game, Jordan taunted Brady by boasting about his 6 NBA championships. While playing with Brady, Jordan stated, “Come back to me when you’ve got six championships.”

Brady only had won 4 Super Bowl titles by the 2015 season. Jordan was challenging Brady to surpass his feats from the 1990s. However, Brady might not be stopping for the upcoming season as he unretired in 2022 while chasing his 8th Super Bowl ring. It appears secretly Brady trying to match MJ and his feat of winning a championship after coming out of retirement.
Jordan won his final 3 NBA championships after coming out of his 1993 retirement in 1995.
While Brady’s plans remain in total mystery, the Buccaneers fans hope to keep him after the 2022 season. However, the situation seems to be getting complicated, with his off-the-field commitments lining up for his attention. The 15-time Pro Bowler will be focused on winning another Super Bowl championship before riding off into the sunset.
