The Chicago Bears have not had a successful campaign for quite a while now. Last season, they had a 3-14 record, placing them in last place in the NFC North division. Their last playoff season came in 2020 when they lost 21-9 to the New Orleans Saints. Their last Super Bowl win was back in 1986, defeating the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XX. And ever since, the Bears have been struggling to revive their former glory.
And now, the team will be looking to recover from last season’s slump in the upcoming season of the NFL. Amidst all the practice at training camp, the Bears had a special appearance made by their 100-year-old superwoman at practice.

Before Virginia Halas McCaskey took over, her father, George Halas, ran the team for almost six decades since 1920. After his death in 1984, McCaskey took over the reins and has been the owner of the Chicago Bears ever since. Virginia Halas McCaskey is the oldest primary owner of an NFL franchise and is also the longest-tenured. Her father brought the team for just $100 and now stands at a net worth of around $5.8 billion.

The Bears recently shared a post on Instagram. In the post, we see Virginia Halas McCaskey making a special appearance during the team’s training camp. She was accompanied by HC Matt Eberflus, his wife, and the President of the team, Kevin Warren. We see McCaskey smiling for the camera, as she wore a black suit with a Bears cap.
But despite making a rare appearance, it turned out to be a disappointment for Virginia Halas McCaskey. And the reason is that fans were not very thrilled to see the 100-year-old superwoman in the comments.
McCaskey gets an underwhelming welcome
Despite Virginia Halas McCaskey being the owner of the Bears for such a long time, fans were still disappointed with her appearance at training camp. And this stems from the fact that the team has not enjoyed much success in the past few years.
One fan said, “Hopefully Coach was politely telling her to sell the team.”
Another fan stated that McCaskey is the worst owner in sports, “Worst owner in professional sports. Sell the team.”
