Derek Carr’s journey to the Saints began with a rocky start. The team’s management was determined to build a formidable roster around their new quarterback, gearing up for a highly anticipated season. However, their plans were marred by unfortunate news. Moreau came out on Twitter with the announcement of beating the disease he had been fighting for the last few months. He wrote in the tweet, “I’ve been blessed with the news that I am in full remission from Hodgkin Lymphoma!” He proceeded to thank everyone that had reached out to him during this difficult time, and added, “Our prayers were answered.”
He concluded the tweet by acknowledging that he intends to follow God’s way in the future. He also wrote “AMDG,” which stands for ‘For the greater glory of God’.
Following Moreau’s announcement, the Saints QB quote retweeted his tweet with a ‘high five’ emoji. Carr now has all the support he needs to get settled down with his new team and perform to the fullest in the upcoming season.

How good are the Saints looking this season?
With Moreau’s triumphant return to the field, the Saints now boast a formidable top-tier offense. Recent reports confirm his presence at practice in May, allowing him to showcase his skills while enjoying the proximity to his home. However, it is worth noting that Moreau still has ground to cover as Juwan Johnson currently holds a higher position in the depth chart.
Nevertheless, the Saints have actively reshaped their roster, particularly through strategic draft picks on the offensive side, aiming to rectify the team’s weaknesses and bolster their overall performance. The defense roster has also experienced a considerable uplift with promising prospects like Bryan Bresee.
