Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill is one of the most exciting players in the NFL, and there’s no doubt that he’s a threat to score on every touch. But is he really “scary”?

Recently, Shannon Sharpe, the former NFL tight end and co-host of ‘Undisputed,’ got people’s attention with his comments about Miami Dolphins superstar, Tyreek Hill. “He?s the scariest receiver in the NFL,” Sharpe said on First Take. “He?s more scary than Jerry [Rice].” Sharpe’s description of Hill as ‘scary’ left fans and analysts wondering whether it was genuine praise or just for viewership.

Fellow ex-NFL star now analyst Randy Moss has come in, suggesting Sharpe’s comments might all be for ‘viewership.’ He recently said, “There’s a lot of things you say on TV just to get the viewership” in an interview with Sports Illustrated. He also said Hill is “really a special player,” and that it’s unfair for people to compare him to Jerry Rice.

Moss’ comments are telling in the fact that Sharpe was more concerned about getting attention than actually praising Hill. While Sharpe did call Hill ‘scary,’ he also said that he had more potential than any other NFL player, suggesting he wasn’t taking away from Hill’s abilities.

We remain uncertain if Sharpe was genuinely praising Hill or merely using a catchy phrase for viewership. Either way, it’s clear that Randy Moss believes in the potential that Hill has and hopes viewers will appreciate him for all he brings to the game.

Tyreek Hills’ impact and potential

Whatever you may think of Sharpe’s comments, one thing is certain: Hill is a player to watch out for! He may very well end up becoming the greatest receiver in NFL history. So don’t be surprised if you look back in a few years and see him among the all-time greats.
