Illness concern the Denver Broncos
The Broncos have listed several of their players questionable for Sunday’s clash with Tennessee due to illness. But everyone is mum over the nature of illness affecting the locker room. Even head coach Hackett did not disclose anything when the reporters pressed him about it. “It’s just an illness,” Hackett kept repeating whenever the question popped up.
The only time he said something different about it was when he said that there are illnesses going around everywhere, including the school where his kids’ study. “They just have an illness. There’s a lot of illness going around everywhere. My kids’ schools, everywhere,” he said on the question of whether the concerned players are being isolated.
The reporters wanted to know if these said players were down with COVID, but Hackett was adamant about not giving any information. The last player to officially be unavailable due to COVID was the Seattle Seahawks running back Rashaad Penny. That was during the preseason.

The Broncos’ season so far
Players ill or not, the Broncos have struggled so far this season. The team from Denver has won just three out of the eight games they have played. Only the Las Vegas Raiders have a worse record in the AFC West division this season.

Denver snapped out of a four-game losing streak in week eight to beat the Jacksonville Jaguars for the third win of the season. The team sits third on the division table dominated by the Kansas City Chiefs. Their playoff chances are slim, but the illnesses of various players won’t make it any easier for them to mount a comeback. The game against the Titans is important for them to make a statement.
