It happened when Brady and Gisele broke up. And it has happened again, as the famous analyst duo are set to part ways. The former Broncos Tight End, Shannon Sharpe, is set to exit Undisputed, as he takes the stage one last time.

Undisputed is one of the foremost shows in the country that is, or was, co-hosted by Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless. They spent 7 years working together and sharing their insights on the NFL and other sports, discussing the biggest stories. With Shannon’s announcement on Undisputed on 13th June, the show and Skip Bayless will find themselves one man short going forward.

Shannon Sharpe bids an emotional farewell

On the Undisputed YouTube channel, the latest and potentially the last upload with Shannon was shared. This was Shannon Sharpe’s final appearance on the show and he took his time to thank some of the people on the set and show. Sharpe began with, “Ladies and Gentlemen, this is officially my last day at work. After seven years, the train stops for Shannon Sharpe and Undisputed right here.”

Shannon Sharpe thanks Fox and Skip as he calls him a young man in his farewell speech. “I’d like to thank Fox and FS1 for giving me this opportunity, for believing in me and then allowed me to share this stage with a young man that I’ve sat across from.”

Sharpe thanked his colleagues at work for all the help and support they shared and showered him with. As he turned to Skip to honor him with compliments, Shannon Sharpe had tears in his eyes. Sharpe shares, “you fought for me bro. I’m here because of you. You’ve allowed me to share the stage with you, you’ve allowed me to share the platform.” Sharpe goes on to add, “I’m forever indebted to you, I’ll never forget what you did for me.” With Sharpe exiting the show, many fans might remember and recall what led to the breakup.

Sharpe and Bayless, where the cracks began

It was not a sudden decision by Sharpe to quit the show. The fans who know, remember it started all the way back in week 17 of NFL 2022. The pair had a disagreement over a tweet shared by Skip Bayless, which resulted in Shannon Sharpe staying home the day after the tweet.

Skip had called out the cancellation of the game late on in the season because of Hamlin’s’ collapse on the field. Sharpe disagreed with Skip and the friction between them started to turn into cracks as time progressed. Many predicted that they will part ways soon enough.

Shannon Sharpe leaves undisputed with a heavy heart. He bids goodbye to the show and the people he spent 7 years with. Skip will surely miss the man he fought to have on the show. And the man with whom he has built Undisputed into what it is today.
