After Netflix’s ‘Quarterback’ Provides a Glimpse of Patrick Mahomes vs Maxx Crosby’s Rift, Instagram Connects 2 NFL Legends in a Display of Mutual Admiration

The 12th of July marked a monumental day for the NFL. With access behind the scenes into the lives of NFL QBs, an interesting insight into Mahomes has surfaced. Following the release of the documentary the incident from last season saw a firsthand opportunity to clear the air as to what the QB had to say to Crosby. Which ultimately culminated in the Raiders DE punching the Chiefs QB.

But in a recent turnaround from the DE in the offseason. The Raiders man has come forward to share an update with Mahomes on Instagram.

Maxx Crosby hails Patrick Mahomes

Not many would have expected Crosby and Mahomes to hold any love for the other. With the head-butting incident from last year still fresh in many fans, the IG post would surprise as well as irk many fans who come across it. In his latest post, the DE has hailed Mahomes to be the Ultimate competition for him.

Crosby posted a picture with Mahomes and captioned it, “Ultimate Competition. Ultimate Respect. Loading…patrickmahomes.” The post would surprise many especially after it was revealed that Mahomes had to please Crosby mid-game to stop punching him. But this was a show of respect from the rival to his fellow NFL star after he would win the Super Bowl earlier this year.

As Crosby continues to dwell on the admiration for the Chiefs man. Many might recall the incident that drove a rift between the two in the first place. As the two were set to take each other on at Arrowhead Stadium last season. Maxx Crosby awoke the beast after pushing Mahomes over the edge.

Crosby shouldn’t have awoken the beast

After the Chiefs were suffering at the hands of their rivals when the Raiders visited Mahomes and Co. Crosby was dominating the Chiefs’ QB with the Raiders taking a 17-0 lead. Maxx Crosby would physically impose himself on the QB putting him off of his game. But after lightly punching the man in red, he may have pushed him over the edge.

As Mahomes would inspire a comeback from his team and fire up his teammates. He would go on to aid the Chiefs in beating their hated rivals in Las Vegas Raiders 30-29 at the whistle. And Mahomes would single-handedly aid in 4 TDs after being awoken because of the constant push from his rival Crosby.

Maxx Crosby has posted with Mahomes hoping to end any potential rifts that may seep into the new season. After a blockbuster affair that was the game from last season.
