Ahead of the game, there was a healthy duel between rookie QB Kenny Pickett and Tom Brady. The Steelers won the game, but Pickett entered the concussion protocol. This was after he was pushed to the ground by Devin White.
The legend said the whole offense got to do a better job for the Bucs. “It’s all of us. It’s the whole offense. We got to do a better job in the run game and pass game. Everyone got to do a better job. Obviously, there’s no position that’s performing at an elite level right now. The NFL is an execution game and we need to improve,” he said.
Why Tom Brady is upset with the offense
The Buccaneers went into halftime without a sole touchdown. They got only one TD in the entire game. The future HOF-er got sacked twice before halftime. He fumbled on a second-quarter sack by Alex Highsmith. An expressive TB12 had some tough words for the offensive linemen on the sideline. He told they are better than what they are playing now while throwing some f-bombs.
However, it caused no change, as he faced repeated pressure games from the Steelers’ pass rush. An animated Brady lost his cool, as he felt unguarded by his team. In the presser, TB12 had a solution to their struggles. “I think honestly, everything was a challenge today. There was nothing that was not a challenge to our offense. We have to do a lot better job in every area. We’ve got to score more points, pretty simple,” he added.
