ESPN analyst Stephen A. Smith stands as the last big lone wolf after the massive ESPN layoffs. With Disney enforcing 7000 employees being terminated from the network in order to cut down costs, many of Smith’s network acquaintances, such as Jalen Rose and Jeff Van Gundy, have already been axed from ESPN. And with the analyst still being able to hold on to this position at the network, one cannot help but ponder whether the next big name to be laid off will be Stephen A. Smith himself.

But amidst the mystery surrounding his ESPN future, the analyst has come together with $260 million QB Lamar Jackson to criticize another issue. And it is an issue that seems to be bothersome for both Smith and Jackson.

Recently, Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson spoke up after an interaction between a Los Angeles barber and his client went viral on Twitter. The tweet showcases the extravagant costs of getting a simple haircut, as the barber states his prices, “For house calls I charge $350/hr plus $100 travel fee. Taper fade, line up+beard trim will take about 2 ½-3 hours so it’ll be $1,150.” This left the QB visibly shocked, as he shared the tweet stating, “My Tape must gone last 365 days cause you must be out your rabbit🤬mind🤣🤣” And now, Stephen A. Smith joins Jackson in showing his visible shock at the exorbitant prices charged by these Barbers.

The ESPN analyst began by talking about how he read a few stories about the barber situation in L.A. He went on hilariously state that these eyebrow-raising prices would be fine if they have the skills to create a hairline for him, but he has not met anyone with those skills yet. He then went on to talk about his own barber, stating, “Now my man Anthony from LA, he don’t do that. From Long Beach, he don’t charge me that much money.” Stephen A. Smith further elaborated that if an individual takes 2 ½ -3 hours to cut hair, then he has “questions about your ability to cut hair.”

Smith gives his take on the ESPN layoffs

With many of his big colleagues being axed from the network, Stephen A. Smith might be wondering if he is next on the list. On his show, he talked about the thin ice he’s treading on at the moment in the network. “If we’re going to be real about it, let’s deal with reality. This ain’t the end, more is coming. And yes, ladies and gentlemen, I could be next,” is what Smith said on the ongoing layoffs. He stated that his colleagues “deserved better than the times we are living in.” The analyst then further went on to share a video on social media for his haters and critics who have been constantly bashing Smith while his colleagues get axed from the network.
