In just 71 seconds into the game, the Buccaneers had a golden opportunity to score their first touchdown and gain early momentum. However, the bullet launched by Tom Brady to his No 1 receiver blazing toward the end zone missed the chance to catch it properly. No one would have ever seen Evans in such a situation.
Although he tried his best to catch the ball, tossing it in the air again, but couldn’t reach it. This made the fans and the veteran himself believe to have lost their advantage, eventually leading to a draught till the fourth quarter connecting for a field goal and scoring only a three against the Panthers’ 21 by the end of the final whistle.

In the recent episode of Let’s Go! Podcast, Tom Brady addressed this issue, saying he didn’t feel the guilt as Evans, who expressed disappointment after the game.
The panelists asked Brady about his reaction to Evans missing the crucial catch and the wideout feeling guilty about it. “Well, I think that’s the way it might have felt. That’s why he said that, but it’s not the way that I felt,” Brady said on the podcast. “You know, I just look at it as an incompletion. We have a lot of football left. It’s only to whatever fourth play the game or something like that.”
“It was a play that, you know, we love to make it absolutely we’d love to make every play and there’s a lot of other plays on special teams on defense on offense that when it doesn’t go right you got to will yourself and to turn things around all of us do not everyone’s going to make a great deal of time,” he added.
