It’s been three days since Tom Brady set Munich on fire with his masterclass. However, his two-game-winning streak does not reflect how the season has gone so far. The last two wins have been season-saving wins as the Bucs finally arrive at 0.500 with their 5-5 record.

While most see this as a poor record for Tom Brady standards, the seasoned quarterback knows a thing or two about being at 5-5. From his 23-year-long experience, he knows not to write off the Vince Lombardi trophy even at this stage in the season.

Tom Brady took to his ‘Sirius XM podcast’ as he analyzed his overseas time in Germany. As the NFL season just hit its midway point, Tom Brady had an evaluation of where his team stood. He mentioned that some teams were already out of contention. However, he didn’t include his 5-5 Bucs on that list.

 He said, “You got to figure out how to elevate your play style”. This was his recipe to turn things around. He alluded to his 2015 campaign with the Patriots. In that season, they were undefeated for 10 weeks and ended up 12-4 as the last 6 games came by. The Patriots lost their AFC championship game to the Broncos that year and didn’t get a Superbowl spot.

Brady then drew inspiration from a similar situation he was in 2001. “We were 5-5 at the end of 10 weeks and we ended up winning the Superbowl. The point is, there’s a lot of football left”, said Brady as he let the NFL world know, not to write off the Buccaneers just yet.

What comes next

“We want to be a team that elevates our style and continues to get better but that’s going to take a big commitment and a serious work ethic to do that. And the whole identity of what the season will become is what happens over the course of the next seven games.” Brady continued as he recognizes their poor showing but still knows it wasn’t enough for teams to sleep on them. That’s what happens when a team has a presence like Tom Brady in the locker room. The enormous experience he brings along with his talent is what championship-winning teams are made of.

In a rollercoaster year, Tom Brady has been his original self ever since announcing his divorce. He has won both his games since the bug announcement and has made plays that resonate with vintage Brady.  As he said, the next seven games will determine many things. However, this will also give fans pure delight as their GOAT finds his form once again.
