Deion Luwynn Sanders Sr., popularly Coach Prime, has always been a God’s man. This man has done everything from supporting his followers through some of God’s love to thanking the “Lord” just after his surgery. However, what’s interesting is his children follow in his footsteps.

Where his sons, Sanders Jr., Shilo, and Shedeur, have his N.F.L. genes, his daughter Deiondra is following in his path of faith. As the Director of Communications, Sandra might have communicated worldwide with Fortune 500 companies, but she shook her fans when she posted about her ‘communication with God.’

“To my dad (but as ya’ll know him, the G.O.A.T.)… It is said that firstborns are considered uniquely qualified to represent their fathers purely because of their birth order. While nobody can say if this is entirely true or not, I definitely feel it.” Deiondra had shared in her heartwarming Father’s Day letter. However, it doesn’t seem far-fetched, as the 21-year-old aligns with her father’s belief in God.

Like father, like daughter, she also stormed her fans when she posted a ‘supposed message by God’ on her I.G. story today. It said, “God: I have a plan for you. Be patient.” This came as a sign after her dad’s safe return home from the surgery he underwent a few days back that addressed clots in both legs. Though he’ll need another surgery to correct the hammer toes in his left foot in the coming weeks, his faith doesn’t waver.

A turbulent time for Prime Time

The Colorado coach might’ve been released from the hospital, but all is not well. Sanders has already gone through ten surgeries on his left foot, losing two of his toes and bits of his calf in the process. His latest surgery was aimed at removing a blood clot from his thigh and some below his knee as well. Issues relating to his health kept him away from three games during the 2021 season as Jackson State’s football coach. Could the same be the case for Colorado this time around, as he prepares for another surgery to fix his hammertoes?

Once the fastest player in the NFL, he faces uncertainty involving his leg strength and mobility. Despite everything, Sanders continues to remain in high spirits and aims to continue making strides in his stint at Colorada. From the minute he stepped in Colorado as coach, the former quarterback has been bringing in waves of change. Be it the unprecedented roster overhaul or the 700% merch bump, he’s really proved himself as the leader of the Buffs. Will he be able to overcome these turbulent times to achieve his aim of his new team competing with TCU in the season opener in September? Or are the Buffs set for another disappointing season?
