The Giants get crushed by the weight of the Cowboys. The opening match of the season caused an uproar as the Dallas Cowboys reigned over the Giants. The Cowboys managed to tear through the Giants’ defense and got the win by an astonishing score of 40-0. With their exceptional performance on 11th September, the Cowboys might very well be one of the contenders for the championship.

This season has been off to an exciting start, with some of the most unexpected outcomes in the NFL. Their win comes off as another shocker in week 1 of the season. While the Cowboys can bask in the glory of their success in the first match of the season, fans can’t help but reminisce about the man who created the legendary team.

On 9th September, the Cowboys fans took to Twitter to remember the birthday of the late Clint Murchison Jr., founder of the Cowboys. A born Texan, he revolutionized the sport of the NFL by introducing the Dallas Cowboys to the league. His father, Clint Murchison Sr., was a businessman in the oil industry and therefore, passed down his wealth to his son. Naturally, he was the inheritor of a large amount of wealth and was able to be a businessman and the founder of the Dallas Cowboys team.

During his time, Dallas won 2 Super Bowls in the years and had 20 winning seasons. Murchison owned the Cowboys for 25 years and founded the team despite his father’s several objections. The state of Texas sees him as a great pioneer in the NFL and as a great sports enthusiast. During the time of his death, it was noted that his fortune stood at a staggering value of over $500,000,000. He was a wealthy man who left behind a legacy forever to be lived up to.

The Cowboys have always been a tough contender, both in their NFC East division and otherwise. They have managed to win a total of 5 Super Bowls throughout. Plus, they hold the record for the highest regular season win–lose percentage (. 574), with a 550–408–6 score through the end of the 2022 season.

While their opening game resulted in a tremendous win, the Cowboys have yet to ride the horse till sundown in the hopes of taking the championship home. Maybe this is the season where they finally get to be Super Bowl champions after a gap of 28 years. The Texans have been hungry for the Super Bowl ever since their 1995 win and maybe Mike McCarthy’s team will be the one to bring it home.
