The former quarterbacks’ coach for Tampa Bay Buccaneers, began his NFL coaching career in 1996 with the Buccaneers. Over the years, he has worked with teams like Indianapolis Colts and Miami Dolphins before returning to Tampa Bay in 2019. After coaching legends like Tom Brady, during his career, the former offensive coordinator has decided to take a steep turn in his professional life.
Clyde Christensen has a successful track record as a coordinator, having won multiple championships and conference championships. His leadership has also contributed to his team’s impressive overall record.
Clyde Christensen is taking a new road

After a decorated coaching career, having worked with NFL stars like Peyton Manning, Andrew Luck, and Tom Brady, the offensive coach decided to return. With five years as a coordinator, Christensen has won two championships in 2006 and 2020, along with three conference championships in 2006, 2009, and 2020. Under his guidance, the Buccaneers have compiled an impressive 39-27-0 record. Now, he will be the new Volunteer Offensive Analyst at the University of North Carolina.
With the amount of experience the coach brings, it’s pretty much a given that his involvement is gonna boost the team’s game. He said that he loves his alma mater and that his commitment to moving closer to his wife’s aging parents in Winston-Salem led him to take the new role.
“I knew I was going to do something,” said Clyde Christensen, in a recent media briefing.

Christensen explained that Coach Brown asked him to come up and visit, which gave him a chance to get involved with the team. He expressed his admiration for Coach Brown, stating that he had always wanted to work for him. The coach added that he loves what the team is doing at UNC.

The press asked him how Manning and Brady reacted to his move to volunteer. He responded by saying that they have both been excited for him and that they know he will support them in their future endeavors.
“I think they both have been excited for me… it’s a relational business, like for me it’s all about the relationships,? he said.

?As a volunteer offensive analyst, Christensen will work closely with the coaching staff to help develop the offensive strategy for the team. He will fully commit to the role, but they have yet to determine the period of this commitment.
