Broncos’ star quarterback Russell Wilson has been getting a lot of flak this season for his poor display on the field. His mistakes cost his team to lose on a few occasions, which irked the fans even more. However, he has always shown true professionalism, irrespective of the result.

In 2021, a video became viral when Wilson was going through some routines on the football field alone. Many fans tried to troll him for that, even former Patriots cornerback, Darius Butler trolled him at first. However, he then backed the quarterback and praised him for his amazing professionalism.

When Darius Butler showed love for Russell Wilson

In 2021, Wilson was playing for the Seahawks and he was doing some pre-game routines and a mock 2-minute drive all by himself. Also, he was calling and changing in the line of scrimmage, as the camera caught him in action.

Notably, he had suffered a hand injury prior to that. However, he wanted to be with the team to support them.

After watching the video Former Patriots cornerback, Butler tweeted, “I love Mr. Unlimited just as much as the next guy but Sir…Get tf outta the fake huddle.”

Safe to say, he was trying to make fun of Wilson. Incidentally, many other people on social media also tried to troll Wilson, as most of the fans accused him of doing that for the camera.

However, Butler came back in support of the quarterback as he further tweeted, Aye man yall laugh at the JOKE but leave Russ alone. He’s a Football junky going through some withdrawals. Dude’s never missed a game in his NFL career until last night. Fastest QB to 100 wins. SB Champ. He can be corny at times but he’s a LEGEND. Lot of cyber bullies on here lol.

Wilson has suffered plenty of trolls in the 2022-23 season

After the 2021-2022 season ended, the Seahawks traded Wilson to the Broncos for a record amount of money. However, Wilson did not live up to the expectations of the fans or the players. In this current season, he made too many mistakes, which cost his team dearly.

Recently, another viral video surfaced on social media where Wilson was trying to give high-fives to his teammates; however, it appeared that most of his teammates were ignoring him.

Throughout these first six games of the season, the Broncos QB threw only 1442 passing yards for only five touchdowns. Moreover, his team lost four out of six games, which pushed them into the third position in the AFC West. It seems like the season is already over for the Orange Crush.

It will be interesting to see if Wilson can regain his form and rejuvenate his team from a series of defeats.
