Four Super Bowl championships and an unannounced retirement later, legendary NFL tight end Rob Gronkowski is no more the most trending Gronk on social media. With over 700k followers across social media, 10-year-old Baby Gronk has captivated the internet as the next upcoming football phenomenon. While there is less concern about his talents on the field, the controversies primarily stem from Baby Gronk’s father, Jake San Miguel, and his ways to market his son for popularity. Former NFL player and podcaster Will Compton didn’t hold back on Miguel Sr. and his questionable social media antics.
Madden San Miguel, aka Baby Gronk, is a projected future star of the gridiron. A running back and safety, much bigger in stature than the regular 10-year-old, Baby Gronk has already met top Division I programs in the country, including an LSU invitation from gymnast and TikTok star Olivia Dunne. However, Will Compton still thinks the potential prodigy’s father is a con man. And the Tennessee Titans linebacker added to the insult yesterday.

During a recent appearance on the Bring The Juice podcast, Baby Gronk and his father, Jake San Miguel put up quite the cringe show. On being asked regular questions by the interviewers, Baby Gronk could rarely give the answer that was on his mind. Instead, his father guided him to answer the questions in a typical ‘bad-boy’ manner to create social media traction.
Will Compton shared the video with some extremely harsh words for Jake San Miguel. “Baby Gronk’s dad is such a loser. You know that the parents who know this family and have seen this bulls—-t genuinely hate it for him because he seems like a nice kid,” Compton wrote.

Jake San Miguel is an ex-musician, former high school football player, and a digital marketing wizard. And the 35-year-old has played a pivotal role in building his son’s brand image and promotion on social media. And he even had a strong reply for Will Compton when the latter attacked him for being a con artist.
And Compton isn’t the only former NFL player who has found Jake San Miguel’s antics questionable.
Baby Gronk’s father explained his social media strategy
“You’re exploiting your son for social clout, status, fame, money, and to fill a void you couldn’t fill,” Compton said. The free agent also rejected Jake’s attempt to feature on their podcast, Bussin’ With The Boys. However, Miguel did have a reply in store for Compton.
“You just don’t see how we live. It’s not about sports, it’s not about football, it does not last forever. You do content, you get paid off the internet. That’s all we’re doing. It’s a new day, it’s a new generation,” San Miguel retorted.

Former Colts punter and talk show host Pat McAfee also expressed his frustration with Miguel’s ways. “We can say that what is apparently happening is seemingly on a path to “What the f**k’s wrong here,” McAfee said. Jake San Miguel’s reply to that? Another plea to get on The Pat McAfee Show. “You had your time to talk. Now it’s ours,” he said on Instagram.
