Pat McAfee’s visit to Boulder for ESPN’s “College GameDay” has been quite eventful. Colorado midfielder Juliauna Hayward and goalkeeper Jordan Nytes challenged the former NFL punter to a trick-shot competition.

Ranking No. 22 in the nation in women’s soccer, the incident garnered lots of attention among football fans. The competition is to determine who can kick a soccer ball to hit the most crossbars. The Twitter post captured both McAfee and Hayward missing the kicks while Nytes hit two crossbars.
Pat McAfee couldn’t hide how impressed he was and said, “I feel like you’re a ringer for this. Is that right? Are you the greatest on earth at doing this?…. I will say, that was awesome.”
The ESPN commentator made his exit after imploring the team to fight for the national championship.

Deion Sanders always has Pat McAfee to back him up whenever it comes to field fighting. McAfee recently played a clip of a fight between the players of the New York Jets by HBO’s Hard Knocks.

“He just fought. I saw two of y’all walking off over there, and you got a teammate fighting. Where do they do that at? If one fighting, we all fight. You understand that? I don’t want to see y’all walking off when somebody’s fighting. Never again.”
Pat McAfee fully backs Sanders’ response, saying, “Yeah, (football) is a hard sport and involves some combat, and you gotta be f***ing tough. You can’t be soft and you can’t be the guy that runs away from a fight when it’s happening.“
