The Dallas Cowboys parted ways with Amari Cooper at the start of the offseason. His departure will certainly have a big impact on the team’s offense in the forthcoming NFL season. Now, the Cowboys might face a similar situation with another star player on their offense.

According to Ian Rapoport, Dalton Schultz, the Tight End of the Cowboys is not happy with the contract negotiations. He has refused to attend the voluntary OTAs, and he wants his extension to be settled soon.

Rapoport believes that the new deal of TE David Njoku with the Cleveland Browns has certainly played a huge role in Schultz’s decision. Njoku recently signed a contract worth $56.75 million for 4-years. As a result, Schultz also wants to get paid in a similar region.

The Dallas Cowboys now have to fix the Schultz situation quickly. They would not want to lose their star Tight End, as he is an important part of their offense. Jerry Jones, the owner of the Cowboys, should be able to handle this issue soon.

A tough battle awaits the Dallas Cowboys next season

The Dallas Cowboys were the NFC East champions last season and were able to qualify for the playoffs. However, in the approaching season of the NFL, things can change drastically.
