College football is one of the most loaded football events in the country. After the NFL, D1 football is the next best thing for fans all over the country. Furthermore, among the titans that live, breathe, and train football sits a disputed king. The University of South California has a rich legacy of football accolades throughout the sands of time. They’ve stood the test of posterity with 11 wins in the National Championship. They have eight Heisman Trophy winners, which is the most. Furthermore, it seems like they will be joined by a coach from the NFL.
While he did not have a lot of luck in the NFL, the coach from the Arizona Cardinals will be coming to USC. While Kliff Kingsbury’s team ended the season with a miserable record of 4 wins and 13 losses, Kingsbury is looking to redeem himself.

With his bad track record with the Arizona Cardinals, Kingsbury was sacked. There was a lot of speculation as to what will be his next step after his firing. The young coach also ended up taking a vacation with his girlfriend, seemingly to escape from the football world. However, he has reached a decision. Kingsbury will be joining the football program of the famous USC. He is expected to take on the position of a senior offensive analyst.
This is also quite a selling point for the USC QB room: Between Lincoln Riley and Kliff Kingsbury, they’ve coached and developed four of the last nine Heisman Trophy-winning quarterbacks PLUS Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts.https://t.co/nTCV2NB4IM

This would seem like good news, given Kingsbury’s track record. Particularly for the QBs, as both he and Lincoln Riley have been involved in training quarterbacks like Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts in the past. However, fans might not necessarily see this as an advantage.
NFL fans took to Twitter to voice out what they honestly thought about Kingsbury going to USC.
Fans get brutal with their opinion on Kingsbury
Fans voiced out their honest opinions on Kingsbury going to the college level to coach. One fan mentioned how Kingsbury is unlikely to stay for more than a year.
I mean do you realistically expect him to be there more than a year? It’s great for the QBs on the squad now. Not sure it matters to recruits

Furthermore, some fans took potshots at the USC team.
Sounds awesome. All they need to do now is learn to play some defense
— Jim Ferk (@jrfbucks) April 11, 2023
There were also fans who hated Kingsbury based on his past work.
What has Kingsbury ever done? No success with Kyler. And Mahomes fundamentals were a mess leaving college
— Steven Rosso (@SLR_1985) April 11, 2023
Furthermore, fans also claimed he won’t have success when it matters.
And won’t win you games that matter.

Finally, fans cited previous examples and claimed that Kingsbury is overrated.
What did Kliff do good with Pat at Tech or even Kyler in Arz? I’ll answer that for you, he did nothing. Just a young conceded Overrated coach!!!
— Blair Christ (@BlairChrist) April 11, 2023
All in all, fans did not seem to think that Kingsbury would make any impact on USC’s success. By using his previous work as an example, fans exemplified that Kingsbury is not a very useful person to have on the coaching and analyzing squad.
With fans being harsh critics, it seems like Kingsbury will have a lot to prove to win back the people’s opinions. It only remains to be seen if Kingsbury is able to garner success in the next college season.
