With the trade deadline fast approaching, Cleveland Browns are making moves to prepare for a final push to improve their roster. While also trying to receive as much value as the players, they might find a surplus to their needs. The Browns are currently considering trading away the running back Kareem Hunt. The player can unquestionably get them a mid-round pick in the draft.

Hence, the team is hoping to recuperate a draft pick or two for the player instead of risking losing him for absolutely nothing. The organization would likely request a 4th-round pick in return for the 27-year-old player.

Hunt previously requested a trade back in August, but the team refused. Now going into the 8th Week of the NFL, the Browns are only 2-5. Far away from what they hoped they would be. While the RB is in his final year with the organization, they can lose the player for nothing in the coming free agency next year.

The Kansas City Chiefs drafted Hunt in 2017 in the 3rd round. Immediately turning up for the team, he rushed for 1327 yards in his rookie year, with a Pro Bowl selection to go along with it. He joined the Browns in 2019 alongside RB Nick Chubb (drafted in 2018). The Browns hoped the rushing duo could dominate the league.
However, due to injuries and other inconsistencies, the idea never came to fruition. With Chubb taking over the position with his explosive performances, Hunt has not seen as much game time.

In addition to Hunt, the Browns are also said to be listening to offers for cornerback Greedy Williams. It appears the team is trying to stack up on draft picks to kick off their campaign next season, when they will hopefully have their new QB1 in Deshaun Watson. The quarterback got a massive deal by the Browns, who hope he could catch his pre-controversy form once again.
