After 23 years in the NFL, there’s no reason why Tom Brady should have anything but an extended period of rest and relaxation. However, given his history of coming back from retirement, the rumor of his return continues to be prevalent. Despite TB12 announcing his second and “final” retirement this year, fans and key voices in the NFL world can’t help but wonder if the seven-time Super Bowl champion will return.
Last time, Brady’s attempt at retirement lasted for 40 days. And a section of fans is still holding out hope for the QB’s return this time around. But TB12 finally responded to the speculation with a rather hilarious reason that indicated why he may not step onto the field any time soon. Here’s what happened.

NFL reporter Dov Kleiman took to Twitter and said, “Tom Brady might not be “done after all” with his playing in the NFL, according to @RichEisenShow who talked to people in Indy.” That update was enough to cause a stir among fans.
Anyone who thinks I have time to come back to the NFL has never adopted a 2 month old kitten for their daughter. https://t.co/Qzf2H4vr1j

However, the man in question responded to the tweet. Brady said, “Anyone who thinks I have time to come back to the NFL has never adopted a 2 month old kitten for their daughter.” In the days after announcing his retirement, TB12 has been providing the NFL world with updates on what he’s been up to. And most of the content that has come fans’ way has been centered around his family.
The QB, who co-parents his two children Benjamin and Vivian with his ex-wife Gisele Bündchen, has been in ‘dad mode.’ Giving into his daughter’s request, the QB has adopted two kittens. Inferring from his tweet, it seems like the felines have taken over Brady’s time.
According to fans, Brady’s potential return is still a possibility

While many fans want Brady to come back to the league, others believe that 23 years has been long enough. Apart from that Brady may have already lined up what he hopes to do in the future and that includes plans to head into the broadcasting world. It’s very unusual for fans in the sports world to demand someone in their mid-forties to come back to the field. But knowing Brady’s love for the game, the NFL world understands that if the QB was presented with an opportunity that didn’t have repercussions concerning his health or personal life, TB12 would’ve liked to play for as long as he could.
