On Monday, Former Vikings Linebackers coach and current offensive analyst for the Cincinnati Bengals, Adam Zimmer, passed away. He was 38. His sister Corri Zimmer disclosed the news with a heavy heart through a social media post. Following the footsteps of his father, Mike Zimmer, he had an exceptional coaching career decorating several positions in the league.

Starting his journey with the Saints as an assistant Linebackers coach, Zimmer had traversed a long path. He was serving with the Bengals as an analyst. The veteran was fortunate enough to have a father to guide him through.

For most of his career, Adam gained experience assisting Mike Zimmer, prominently known for his head coaching job at Minnesota. New Orleans and Kansas City Chiefs were some of the other NFL clubs he rendered his services.

Indeed, it was quite unprecedented as he was not present in Monday’s game against Cleveland. “I can’t believe I’m writing this. I lost my big brother yesterday,” Zimmer’s sister Corri wrote on Instagram alongside several pics of her brother.

“The kindest, sweetest, family-loving, sports-obsessed soul there ever was. I’ve felt pain like this once before, but it’s been a while, and I didn’t know I was able to feel like this again. My heart is shattered, and it hurts so bad,” it read.

“I don’t know how to juggle being a mom to one-year-old twin boys and the grief of losing my brother so unexpectedly. I’m so lost, I’m so overwhelmed, I’m so heartbroken,” she added in her lengthy note, remembering her brother. It took no time for this need to spread like a wildfire, with fans paying their respects to the noble soul.

Adam was quite a friendly man filled with positive energy and had a clean record in his overall career with several NFL clubs. The Bengals franchise was left with no words to express their grief but only respect his contribution for the sake of the community.

“Our organization has had the privilege of knowing and working with the Zimmer family for 15 years,” Bengals president Mike Brown said in a statement. “We have the highest regard for Mike and Adam, and we are incredibly saddened by this tragic news. Mike and Adam were more than just coaches for us — they were friends,” he added to his note.

Indeed, it is a big loss for the NFL world. No doubt, the veteran shall be remembered; meanwhile, it’s the responsibility of true fans to render their support for the bereaved family in these hard times.
