Brooklyn Nets hooper Kevin Durant is making headlines right now for all the wrong reasons. As fans will be well aware, that the Nets have gone on somewhat of a spending free this season signing some top players to assist KD and Kyrie Irving and make the playoffs. They’ve brought in the likes of James Harden, Blake Griffin, and LaMarcus Alridge on short-term deals this summer.
Critics on social media have gone on a mad witch hunt against KD who is being accused of failing to assume the role of a leader. This recent interaction on Twitter is proof of how the hate is ‘real’ for the former Golden State Warrior.
I’ll NEVER be able to do anything that I really want to do on earth, by myself.

Tom Brady defied all odds as he led the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to the Super Bowl LV title earlier this year. The veteran NFL shot-called threw for 200+ yards with 3 passing TDs as the Bucs defeated the Kansas City Chiefs by a comprehensive 9-31 scoreline on February 7, 2021.
In doing so, Brady won his 7th Championship ring. This was his first Super Bowl triumph without coach Bill Belichick. Brady urged the Buccaneers to make some major short-term signings which helped them put up a strong Super Bowl run last season. So if anyone knows the value of teamwork, it’s him.

The 43-year old tweeted in support of Kevin Durant on social media on Sunday. The Nets are currently second in the Eastern Conference with a 31-15 record. However, KD has been on the sidelines for a month-and-a-half now due to a nasty hamstring strain. Head coach Steve Nash confirmed that it will be a while before we see the two-time NBA champion return to the basketball court.

But Durant will be more than happy to see how his team has performed in light of his absence. The likes of Irving, Harden, Griffin, and Landry Shamet, have put the Nets in a firm spot to challenge for an NBA Playoff spot. With KD set to return, sooner rather than later, is it fair to assume that Brooklyn are serious NBA title contenders in 2021?
