After the end of the game, Rodgers turned towards the home fans and gave them a salute. That led to the speculation that this game might be Rodgers’ last against the Bears in a Packers jersey. But is it? Rodgers responded to a question on the same lines in the post-match press conference.

“You never know when it’s gonna be your last time playing at a place. I have got great moments at this place. And as much as the fans don’t really like me, I do have respect for the city of Chicago and they’re great sports fans here. This stadium, it has been a lot of fun over the years to go to battle,” Rodgers said.

Rodgers has been a self-proclaimed fan of the sports scenes in Chicago. But what does this salute mean?

A concern for Rodgers’ future with the Packers

The NFL world was quick to speculate on the future of Aaron Rodgers at Lambeau Field. The fans voiced their concern about Rodgers, who has become the face of the Packers franchise over the years.

This fan took a wild guess and concluded that Rodgers was retiring after the season.

Another fan said that Rodgers will be leaving the Packers to play somewhere else.

A fan termed the games against the Bears as Rodgers’ own Super Bowl.

Rodgers has lost just five games against his divisional rivals from Chicago, playing them a total of 29 times in his career. In one of the five losses, he went off with an injury very early in the game. Rodgers has 611 completions with a 67.3% pass completion rate in those 29 starts. The Packers QB has scored 64 passing touchdowns and 10 interceptions. The last time he threw an interception against the Bears was during a December 2018 loss. Is it the end of Rodgers at Lambeau Field? Or worse still, in the NFL?
