Ever since the Green Bay Packers recruited Jordan Love into their ranks, fellow quarterback Aaron Rodgers has gone dark. In other words, the veteran has been off the radar for a while and avoided questions on his place at the Packers.
However, the All-Pro quarterback finally broke his silence on Twitter on Wednesday night. Though it was only to respond to a particularly persistent reporter. Needless to say, Rodgers’ response quickly went viral within the Packers’ fan base.
Aaron Nagler, the co-founder of Cheesehead TV, desperately wanted Rodgers to call him. To drive the point home, he tweeted at Rodgers several times in a thread, every single day. However, the 36-year old had the last laugh and the last word with this response.

What lies ahead for Aaron Rodgers?
In spite of his age, Aaron Rodgers still has plenty of life left in him. He recently came off a 26-touchdown season where he led his team to a 13-3 record and an NFC Championship Game appearance.
The question now is what the Packers plan to do for the quarterback position. General manager Brian Gutekunst offered some insight to Cheesehead TV’s Aaron Nagler. “We have the best quarterback in the National Football League, and we plan to have him for awhile.”

Some suggest that the Green Bay Packers envision that Rodgers will pass the torch to Love eventually. In a way, it mirrors Rodgers’ own acquisition while the Packers still had superstar quarterback Brett Favre. However, the two soon became fierce rivals, and there is a fear of deja vu.
The question now is whether using the pick on Love was a prudent allocation of resources. Especially considering the Pack are in the upper echelon of the NFC, ready to compete for a Super Bowl berth now. The team is also in need of playmakers outside of running back Aaron Jones and wideout Davante Adams.
