And Aaron Rodgers is at the top of it. Transitioning from Packers to Jets at 39, he has been seen enjoying his new team training this offseason.

However, the four-time MVP has always been speculated to retire after the ‘apparent’ last season. With preseason kickoffs soon enough, the caravan has been set into motion again. But this time, Rodgers did share what he plans to do after the season is over.

Aaron Rodgers’ retirement is sure to come up a lot with the 2023 season closing in. After all, the Jet’s new star quarterback will turn 40 this December 2nd. While Rodgers had previously told reporters he plans to play until the big four o “for the foreseeable future,” the MVP had to repeat it. In a recent interview, he took his chance to reiterate this idea after sharing his thoughts on the team and his time with them. He said, “I love being around the young energy, the excitement. This team has a great feel; many of the guys are young and super talented on their first contracts. When you have so many great players on rookie deals, it’s pretty exciting knowing you can do something. You’ve got a good window. It’s not just a one-year thing where you can be competitive, which is fun.”

A-Rod has also previously opened up about his time as he started in a new city, “It’s fun being in a big city and just feeling the energy of the city…I think it’s exciting for everybody involved. Loved seeing more Jet stuff out there when I’m walking around.” Even when Rodgers had previously considered retiring after the 2020 season and then again in 2021, it won’t be wrong to say that ‘the young energy’ is keeping him committed to the sport.

Building offense ‘the right way”

On Thursday, Aaron Rodgers and the Jets showed us what true rejuvenation looks like! It’s incredible to see a last-place team transform into a ‘potentially make the playoffs’ team this year. And it all came down to the Jets’ new star MVP #QB1 Rodgers. After all, it’s a feeling that the franchise hasn’t experienced in years. According to the Jets’ newest member and wide receiver, Garrett Wilson, his change comes with different expectations. Even Rodgers told reporters on Thursday, “High expectations are a good thing. It’s the Aaron Rodgers offense.”

These expectations also come from the league’s schedule for the Jets this season. They’re scheduled in five prime-time matchups this season, from one in the last. This is sure a far cry for a team that hasn’t made a playoff in a decade. The matchups also includes one in Week 1 against the Buffalo Bills on “Monday Night Football.” The team will be mic’d up for the “Hard Knocks,” crew as they will follow the Jets throughout this season. The HBO docuseries is all set to give Jets the spotlight. It won’t be wrong to say with A-Rod on the end, it’s a 360 transformation for this team, right?
