Monday Night Football brought devastating news for the New York Jets as their celebrated player, Aaron Rodgers, was carted off the field due to an ankle injury. The fears of fans and the NFL community materialized as Rodgers, in his debut game with the Jets, was sacked in the first quarter while attempting to evade Buffalo Bills defensive end Leonard Floyd. His ‘time of recovery’ time is the most asked question among NFL fans.
During the tackle, Rodgers planted his left leg on the turf, resulting in a ruptured Achilles tendon. Speculation ran rampant that Rodgers might not return to the season, and worse yet, he could potentially retire, never gracing the league again. However, amid this disheartening situation and the swirl of rumors, Aaron Rodgers has delivered a glimmer of hope as he takes his first step toward recovery and victory.

Just hours ago, Aaron Rodgers took to Instagram Thursday night to share the news of his successful surgery on his torn Achilles, which he underwent on Wednesday. He uploaded a picture of himself on the hospital bed in the Instagram story, wearing a smile on his face. A-Rod accompanied the image with a caption that read, “Surgery went great yesterday. Thank you for all the love and prayers and support. And thanks to the Dr ElAttrache and his staff for starting me on the road to recovery.”
Even while the road to recovery will likely be lengthy, a successful operation signals a promising start. While it’s not still guaranteed that Rodgers will be back in 2024, the recuperation process will take a while. He will need to wait till he is fully recovered, go through rehabilitation, take part in practice sessions, and then make his league comeback.

Although nobody can compare to Aaron Rodgers, the Jets have a few talented rookies to sign who may eventually play at a comparable level. Following Rodgers’ injury, Zach Wilson will assume the reins for the Jets, with Tim Boyle serving as his primary backup at the No. 2 QB position.
To strengthen their quarterback rotation, the Jets might look at signing one of the five available free agents: Colt McCoy, Carson Wentz, Joe Flacco, Josh Johnson, or Nick Foles. There have also been rumors regarding former NFL player turned social activist, Colin Kaepernick. Recently, he and his management have indicated interest in coming to the Jets after a seven-year absence due to black rights protest in 2016.
