With only four more games left to play for the team, the Green Bay Packers’ playoff chances are not looking great. The Giants, Seahawks, Lions and Commander are all ahead of the Packers in the playoff picture. As one can see, it would only take a miracle to see them through the postseason and Aaron Rodgers is just as desperate. According to the back-to-back MVP, he is even ready to root for a team he doesn’t usually support.

The 39-year-old recently appeared on ‘The Pat McAfee Show’. He opened up on the play-off chances, and he made a startling admission. Going into this week’s game day, Rodgers will be rooting for the 49ers for their next game against the Seahawks. “We’re gonna be tuning in Thursday and rooting for one team we don’t usually root for,” added Rodgers. The Niners and the quarterback don’t share the greatest of histories. But when it comes to the playoff chances for the Packers, it is imperative that Seattle loses the game.

The Seahawks are currently on a 7-6 record for the season. However, in the past 4 games, they have lost 3 and have been defensively tragic. If Matt LaFleur hopes to go on a 4 game-winning streak, he would pray that other teams drop games.

Aaron Rodgers on being passed by the 49ers

In 2005, the Niners decided to go for Alex Smith with their 1st overall pick, while the Packers got A-Rod with the 24th overall pick. This would always go down as one of the biggest misses in the history of the NFL drafts. While Smith produced on a league average numbers. Rodgers will go down as one of the greatest ever to play in the position.
