After 17 seasons in the league, expectations or speculations of an imminent retirement are the chat of the town. However, healthcare science and fitness routines have taken a more vocal role in the development of players. And determination drives the cart ahead. The players are performing more and more age-defying acts. While speculations over the retirement of Aaron Rodgers grow, the player himself has put the rumours to bed.

When a 38-year-old quarterback is fresh off from back-to-back MVP seasons, there can be hardly any questions about his talent. Rodgers has been asked too many times now about his retirement. And while the player has not spoken about the exact number of years still left in him, he has admitted to being ever so closer to it this past year. So when asked about whether after so many years of hard labor, he still loves his job. He did everything to put these rumours to rest. “This has been my love since I was 5 years old and still love waking up every day knowing I’m coming into 1265,” said Rodgers.

However, the ride will someday end. And Rodgers himself acknowledges it. Confessing his love for football and the gratitude he has for everything it gave him throughout his life, he once talked to Bill Maher on the latter’s podcast.

He said that there were also other things that he wanted to pursue, things that he loved as well. So it seems as long as he is still enjoying football, there will always be an MVP candidate in the NFL.

Does Aaron Rodgers love pissing off Matt Lafleur?

Giving a nod to his lovely job, Rodgers did not forget to mention his head coach, Matt Lafleur, and their working relationship. Lafleur joined the Green Bay Packers in 2019. Since then, the coach has gone on to establish a winning record of 42-13. Also, developing a close relationship with the 38-year-old quarterback, who has been with the team since 2005. There are often differences between the two. Mostly regarding the play calling. But the pair has always managed to overcome small differences and look ahead to greater pastures.

Right now, the Packers’ fans can rest easy. With Rodgers still loving his job and troubling Matt Lafleur, there is hardly any worry for the quarterback to quit the reigns early. And with his brush up against father time, the player must be more hungry for a championship than ever.
