Special moments with Mike McCarthy
In a recent interview, Aaron Rodgers was asked about his favorite memories of ex-Packers coach Mike McCarthy. McCarthy was the head coach of the Packers when the franchise won the Super Bowl in 2011. Rodgers pointed out a special memory of the night before that Super Bowl win that he can never forget. “There are a lot of things. Getting sized the night before the Super Bowl will always be a special memory. That whole night. We delayed the team meeting for, I don’t know, 15 minutes or so because a couple of guys were on the piano, playing some songs. You just felt that the moment was special,” Rodgers said.
He then talked about the confidence the team had that night. “Then getting sized for your ring. Just the confidence we had and what that kind of statement we had was always very special,” Rodgers added. McCarthy was the head coach of the Packers from 2006 to 2018. Under him, the team won the Super Bowl XLV in 2011 over his hometown franchise, the Pittsburgh Steelers. McCarthy is now the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys.

The Packers and Aaron Rodgers are going through a slump this season. The team has won just three out of the nine games they have played. And they have lost five straight games after their last win in the league. And Aaron Rodgers is also going through a rough patch.
His loss of form was visible in their defeat against the Detroit Lions in game week nine. Rodgers completed just 23 of his 43 pass attempts in the game. He threw just one touchdown pass for the team. And the Lions’ defense rubbed salt in the wounds by intercepting three of his passes. Green Bay lost 15-9, their sixth defeat this season.
