Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has believed in QB Colin Kaepernick’s abilities. The reigning league MVP praised Kaepernick and believed his talents deserve a roster spot for the 2017 NFL campaign. Rodgers wasn’t the type of athlete afraid to speak his mind over the years. He reveals that Kaepernick’s decision to kneel during the American National Anthem affected his exile from the NFL.

While talking to ESPN’s Mina Kimes in 2017, the former Super Bowl champion believed it will be ignorant to think it was not a consequence. He adds that while he will not kneel to show Kaepernick support, he believes Kaepernick was holding a ‘peaceful and respectful’ protest.

What it is to be pulled over, or profiled, or any number of issues that have happened, that Colin was referencing—or any of my teammates have talked to me about.
