Transition phases are interesting! When an established legend moves on from the team, it leaves a massive gap in the team. In such trying times, one such NFL team finds itself in a race against time. David Bakhtiari and Elgton Jenkins play in the offensive tackle and left guard positions respectively. The Green Bay Packers duo have formed a formidable on-field partnership through the years. The 2X First-team All Pro has expressed his desire to team up with the 2X Pro Bowl winner. Their head coach echoed the same words, however with a warning. Matt LaFleur stated ?A couple of years ago, I would argue that was the best-left side in football. Hopefully, we can get back to that.?

With their association, the pair wishes to create one of the best left-side offensive lines in the NFL. Both Bakhtiari and Jenkins are fit and healthy and need to bring their A-game if the Packers want to make it count. With the team getting into a transition phase post-Aaron Rodgers exit, much will be expected of this duo.

Deciding the winning combination post-Rodgers exit
With Bakhtiari’s best friend moving to the Jets, Packers need to tread carefully. Some burning questions need to be answered ahead of the fresh season. The presence of Bakhtiari and Jenkins on the left side could benefit the new QB- Jordan Love. Moreover, with younger players taking the receiver and tight end positions, it could prove to be a winning combination for 4X SB champions.
The left guard found some form playing in his usual position. Since the 2022 season, Jenkins allowed only five total pressures. Whereas the 3X Pro Bowl winner gave up a meager 10 pressures in a total of 11 games. Both these veterans walk into the 2023/24 season with great form on their backs. Jenkins looked positive about the new season beginning in a few months’ time. He said ?It?s going to be fun, just being able to have a whole season, whole camp working at one position, just perfecting my craft,? He further stressed, ?I?m expecting big things from myself.??
