It’s been a rough couple of years for the Green Bay Packers and their extensive fanbase. The supporters’ group has mercilessly flocked to Lambeau Field year-after-year with great expectations from their team. However, the Packers have failed to impress in recent years. Aaron Rodgers led the Wisconsin-based franchise to the NFC Championship game last season.

However, the veteran quarterback failed to lead his team to the Super Bowl with another dismal outing in the Championship game. They defeated the Seattle Seahawks in the divisional round but failed to outplay the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship game. This was Rodgers’ third consecutive below-par display in the NFC decider which ended the Packers’ season.
Mark Murphy’s organization traded up in the NFL draft to bring rookie quarterback Jordan Love at Lambeau Field. 36-year old Aaron Rodgers is tipped to challenge for the NFL MVP award this season.

Aaron Rodgers primed to make a run for the NFL MVP award this year
On a recent segment of Speak For Yourself, former NFL players – Marcellus Wiley and Emmanuel Acho – were talking about Rodgers’ expectations leading into the 2020 season.
“Aaron Rodgers is a headache, I get that but most greats are typically ‘headaches’. The dude has had family issues that we’ve heard about and haven’t heard about. He’s had all types of drama, dude comes with a big ego.
“But when you think about all the ‘greats’, what ‘greats’ don’t come with an ego? Tom Brady, before he had this new social media manager who started busting all these jokes on Twitter and IG, nobody really liked him all that much either….So Aaron Rodgers, sure, may he be a problem? A little bit but sometimes winning, it comes with a small headache,” Acho said on the show.

The Packers ended their 2019 season with a 13-3 record. Without a doubt, the acquisition of Jordan Love will push Rodgers to the limit this season. It will be interesting to see if the Packers can challenge for an NFC title this year, maybe even a Lombardi.
