Years before joining the New York Jets and professing his love for Jersey Shore, Aaron Rodgers conquered the peak of another TV reality show. Back during his quarterbacking days for the Green Bay Packers, 2 NFL MVPs ago, Rodgers clinched a tooth-and-nail victory over one of his fans cum trash talker at an ABC celebrity reality competition. Let’s take a look back at the time A-Rod made one of the greatest off-field comebacks to claim the $100,000 pyramid over Fox Sports reporter Erin Andrews.
What started off clearly in favor of Andrews slowly shifted momentum as Aaron Rodgers used her lack of word association skills to run the table in the offseason. Also present on Rodgers’ side were the Super Bowl, Terry Bradshaw, Jennifer Lopez, and a tractor. Let’s see how Rodgers achieved this monumental win.

Aaron Rodgers came up clutch to beat Erin Andrews on ABC’s ‘The $100,000 Pyramid’ and won the prize money for California native Brooke Snell back in 2017. However, the Super Bowl XLV MVP didn’t have it easy as the ‘Dancing With the Stars’ co-host turned up the heat against him in the early rounds. “I was raised a Green Bay Packers fan. Maybe the first time my dad wants to see Aaron Rodgers go down,” Andrews said in her intro. “I’m going to crush you,” she added.
Once Erin Andrews clinched the first round 18-17, she even emulated Rodgers’ championship belt celebration stance. However, the gridiron superstar knew how to remain composed. Rodgers came back strong in the following rounds when Andrews slipped up in the word linkup round, answering tambourine instead of trampoline for something you jump on.

Once the categories shifted to ‘Famous Jennifers’, ‘People Who Are Bald’, ‘Things on a Pool Table’, and ‘What a Baby Might Say’, Aaron Rodgers found his footing and claimed the 14-13 win and the $100,000 over his Fox Sports nemesis.
That wasn’t the only trash-talking Erin Andrews did
The people who watched the show back in 2017 knew midway that Erin Andrews’ trash-talking would backfire one way or the other. “I wish it was cold in here. You’re not good when it’s cold,” Andrews said, refereeing to Rodgers’ 28-11 regular season record during December and January at the time.
After her first-round victory, Andrews even brought up the Packers’ NFC championship loss to the Atlanta Falcons in 2016-17. “We saw the Atlanta game,” she said, pointing to the 44-21 loss. Clearly, this was enough to fire Rodgers up and propel his team to victory.
