The New York Jets made the most significant and highly anticipated addition to their roster by bringing in one of the best quarterbacks in the league, Aaron Rodgers. After almost 18 years of service to the Green Bay Packers, he decided that it was finally time for him to move on. Although the move sent shockwaves throughout the NFL world, the 4x MVP finally seemed happy and at peace.

For the past few months, Rodgers has been the center of attention for several reasons, be it his dating rumors, or getting spotted in a complete trance at a music concert. However, his recent headlines revolve around a massive move against the Patriots.

Months after the Super Bowl champ’s move to the team, a media personality associated with FOX News, by the name of Craig Carton, revealed on his show that Rodgers was offered to play for the Patriots way before joining the Jets. He further added that the 4x MVP immediately turned down the offer without any hesitation. Craig seemed really happy with Rodgers’ decision and penned a “Thank you” not dedicated to the Jets’ quarterback. And, to add fuel to the fire, the host didn’t hold back when it came to expressing his strong opinions about the Patriots’ head coach.

Before thanking Rodgers for choosing the Jets instead of the Patriots, Craig went on to further address the situation and used some strong criticism by adding, “Those snakes in the grass in New England can never be trusted.“. He even used the term “Satan” to describe the Patriots. However, the co-hosts of the show had divergent perspectives and tried to discuss what it would have been like if Rodgers actually chose the Patriots.

Why did Rodgers choose the Jets?

Several months prior to joining the team, the four-time MVP showcased his strong desire to become a part of the Jets. There were also several reports that the Super Bowl champ was neither happy nor contended with the Packers. From Jordan Love’s recruitment to Davante Adams’ transfer, made Rodgers extremely uncomfortable with the team. He even went as far as to present an ultimatum to the management that later led to his departure.

The possibility of getting overshadowed by the greatest to ever do it is undoubtedly a distinct possibility.
