Are Packers no longer Super Bowl contenders?

Davante Adams was Aaron Rodgers’ favorite target. He was the man the QB liked to make a throw to. Adams is arguably the number one wide receiver in the league today. He always got the job done. The host Joy Taylor said she doesn’t think that Green Bay can be in the Super Bowl conversation next season. The Packers are not getting the proper criticism for how catastrophic the end of the last season was. According to her, the Packers just tried to glaze it over Aaron Rodgers winning the MVP award. Rodgers is a legendary talent but not a postseason quarterback at this point in his career. Hearing the points made by Joy, Blackmon replied, “Absolutely, because they have a top-five defense.” He adds, “The defense was outstanding last year, and they have a really good backfield, and now Aaron will be forced to throw to somebody else. That was the issue in the playoffs like he was just targeting Davante the whole time. There’s plenty of receivers in the free agency. There’s plenty of receivers in the draft so I think they looked at that like, “Hey, let’s just get more talent around, and let’s reload.” Obviously, you cannot get a Davante Adams. That’s really difficult, but there’s a lot of talent out there.”
