The New York Jets have added quite a number of new talents to their roster this offseason. But one particular trade negotiation that has caught the eye of the NFL fans amidst its standoff is that of Green Bay Packers legend, Aaron Rodgers. After almost a month of the 4X MVP QB announcing his wish to play for the Jets, the trade has not seen any conclusive fruition. One may start wondering if the Packers legend will even move to New York, considering the standstill in terms of negotiations between the two teams.

But A-Rod’s former Packers teammate and WR, who recently joined the Jets in the hopes of reuniting with the QB, had his own take on the situation, stating that Rodgers won’t be considering playing for the Packers again.

Despite how things may be looking at the moment, WR Allen Lazard, who recently signed with the Jets, is still looking forward to A-Rod joining him in New York. While recently speaking to Mark Freund of Who 13’s, Lazard said that he’s excited for Rodgers coming to New York whenever the deal pulls through.

Lazard said, “Yeah I’m excited. I mean he said it, he wants to be a Jet. I don’t think he’ll ever put on a Packer uniform again. If the Packers wanna hold him and pay him 60 million dollars, then good for Aaron and his negotiation tactics. But yeah I’m excited for him to be able to get out to New York, whenever that process happens, to be reunited.”
