Day 1 of the training was hyped, as expected for New York Jets. A gathering was there at Atlantic Health to witness Aaron Rodgers’s first day with the Jets. The Jets fans are expecting a turnaround of fortunes this season in the hope to break their 12 seasons Playoff drought. However, even after getting his dream team, Rodgers still has some worries about the team.
Rodgers was involved with the players on the field, giving them advice like a guardian, and then spoke to the media later on. He clarified his stance on his role at the Jets and what his impression of the team was. He did talk about the new team and his first challenge at the Jets.

Four times MVP Veteran QB Aaron Rodgers’s transfer from Packers was quite a deal for the Jets. The deal has rejuvenated the Jets with the hope of a playoff this season. Rodgers, who was the MVP in the 2020 and 2021 seasons, was disappointed after an abysmal season with Packers last year. Packers and Rodgers went their separate ways after a series of poor communications at both ends.
Now at Jets, Rodgers would like to make the best of the Ayahuasca treatment that helped him after 2020. He even spoke about the benefits of the treatment and how it has changed him internally since then. But he had issues assembling the team as the team has not gathered yet. “I saw a few of them but it was tough wrangling the schedules of a bunch of the guys”. Many are yet to come across Rodgers too. Rodgers also addressed the issue of playing with a new team but it is roaring with expectations.
Will the Jets fly high on Rodgers?
The Jets have high hopes for Rodgers and his entry to the team has pushed last year’s QB Zach Wilson to backup status. The betting sites and analysts have given them a 7% chance of winning the Super Bowl this time and consider them the 4th best team in the AFC Championship.

Rodgers received a warm welcome at the Jets camp as coach Robert Saleh said “He’s a coach that can still play football”. While on the field, Rodgers was more patient than before and even called WR Garrett Wilson to bust a play and explained the right move. Rodgers called similarities between Wilson and Davante Adams “Davante is in the category by himself but that 17 reminds me of the other 17 as far as his ability getting out of breaks and is a quick twitch at the line of scrimmage for sure.”

The Jets have high hopes this time. Rodgers looks like a different person now, and he has addressed how he will impart his teaching and virtues to his teammates. He will have support from WRs Allen Lazard and Randall Cobb, his backup QB will be Tim Boyle and offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett. Looks like a strong team has assembled at Jets camp now.
