With the arrival of Aaron Rodgers at the Jets, fans will be expecting him to take them to the Super Bowl just like how Joe Namath did back in 1969. Not only this, but he also has the responsibility of ending the team’s 12-year playoff drought in 2023. After playing almost 18 years in one place, the new season is going to be a new experience for Aaron Rodgers. But it looks like not everyone shares the same excitement surrounding the 4X MVP’s Big Apple debut.

According to an article by The Mirror, an unnamed NFL scout from an AFC team has come forward with a hot take about the 39-year-old QB. The article talks about how during an interview with ESPN, the unnamed scout gave an honest opinion about Aaron Rodgers. A-Rod was placed fourth in ESPN’s ranking of quarterbacks in the league. And the scout stated that “everyone is afraid to say he’s declined a little” while speaking about Rodgers’s performance. He further went on to talk about how “He’s still a great thrower and sees pretty well”, but the 39-year-old should be ranked between 8th to 12th position.

Hackett wants Rodgers to have an excellent offensive arsenal

An article by NBC Sports recently highlights the importance of wide receivers for Aaron Rodgers on the field. He stressed the fact that the wide receivers need to build chemistry with Rodgers, who gives signals for pass routes based on the defense they are going up against in the league. This cohesion could lead to game-changing plays in their 2023 campaign, further bolstering their chances of Super Bowl contention. Hackett has experience being with Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay. So he knows that if the QB spots a gap in the defense, he’s not going to shy away from taking his chances with a pass to his receivers. And this is the same thing Rodgers will be looking forward to with the WRs in the Jets.
