While speaking on ‘The Herd’, Colin Cowherd backs up the franchises, who are not willing to send out first-round picks for the Multi-time MVP. He mentioned, “According to Albert Breer, teams NOT in the Aaron Rodgers sweepstakes are saying they would not give up a first-round pick for him. They would give up, the Jets would give up, a second this year and then a conditional pick next year… Aaron Rodgers today— second-round pick, maybe a third-round, or next year conditional. Prickly, not committed, kind of old.”
Cowherd pointed to past trades like Matthew Stafford, who went to the Rams for two first-round and one second-round pick in 2021. Strong athletes like Tyreek Hill went for a couple of first-round selections, while Christian McCaffrey went for a decent collection of draft picks.
