Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers are in an absolute cliffhanger situation with regard to making the playoffs this season. And the win against bitter divisional rivals, the Chicago Bears, did help that cause. However, it all came at the expense of some bitter, face-numbing, cold weather. And A-Rod faced some major difficulties.
The NFC North division clash between the Packers and the Bears saw the Wisconsin franchise overtake their rivals from Chicago for the most wins in NFL history with their 787th win. However, the cold and windy playing conditions at Soldier Field made things awfully hard for Rodgers and Co, especially in the throwing department.

The Packers were heavily reliant on their run offense for the game on Sunday considering the passing difficulty in the windy circumstances. However, the cold was more of a bother than the wind. And at one point, QB Aaron Rodgers couldn’t even participate in the strategy building on the sidelines. “I was trying to chart plays and my fingers were shaking so bad. I can’t even write at this point,” the NFL’s reigning back-to-back MVP said. Aaron had only 182 passing yards in the game.

A-Rod made the all-important 75-yard drive to the end zone and connected with Christian Watson for the touchdown pass towards the end of the second half. And this isn’t the first time Aaron Rodgers is playing the cold bowl against the Chicago Bears. The Week 16 game in 2008 between the Packers and the Bears saw temperatures in the 2 degrees Fahrenheit range. Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers lost that game to the Bears in overtime. But it didn’t get to that point on Sunday.
The Chicago Bears led 19-10 after three quarters of the game. However, Aaron Rodgers’ offense came on hard in the fourth quarter, putting up 18 points to seal the 28-10 win. And due to the wind and cold, the running offense understood the gravity of the task at hand. RB AJ Dillon and WR Christian Watson both took advantage of holes in the left end and ran for 21-yard and 46-yard touchdowns respectively to rescue the game for the Cheeseheads.
