Every moment Aaron Rodgers spends not fast-forwarding his move to the New York Jets, fans get more and more agitated. It’s been almost a month since the quarterback announced his intentions to play for the Gang Green. However, the negotiations have come to a complete standstill between the Jets and the Green Bay Packers. And instead of getting worked up about his future in the NFL, A-Rod is wasting his tweets on politics.
Aaron Rodgers has been vocal in his support of the new Democratic candidate contesting to be the President of the United States of America, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Fans think he can continue the off-court campaign once his trade is complete. Especially since RFK’s controversial past can make his Jets move even harder.

Technically, the Aaron Rodgers drama started way back after the season ended for the Cheeseheads. Not wanting to be a part of the Packers rebuild, Aaron first made fans wait as he contemplated his future. A four-day darkness retreat and many thoughts later, Rodgers finally settled on the New York Jets. And while fans are eagerly waiting for the confirmation, Rodgers confirmed that it was not his fault that the negotiations were still ongoing regarding compensation.
While quarterbacks like Lamar Jackson are making a case for their own futures by setting Twitter on fire, Rodgers’ social media activity is receiving considerable backlash. A week ago, Aaron Rodgers showed his support to the environmental lawyer and anti-vaccine advocate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. RFK appeared on Rodgers’ friend and fellow darkness enthusiast, Aubrey Marcus’ podcast. RFK’s father was Robert Kennedy and his uncle was JFK and the Democratic candidate punched in his ticket this week.
Rodgers had a congratulatory tweet for RFK. “Give me a sword. I need an army, and it can’t be just the Party. I won’t pretend to agree with you in every position. But I would make America a safe place to debate your positions and I will give you an ear and open mind,” RFK tweeted.

What’s taking so long for the Jets & Aaron Rodgers?
Jets ownership, including Woody Johnson, met Aaron Rodgers at his Malibu house last month. And the meeting went extremely well. However, Woody Johnson is also the heir to the Johnson and Johnson empire, a key player in the vaccine industry. Aaron’s association with RFK’s anti-vax ideology may prove to be a conflict of interest for Johnson’s organization.
The Packers and Jets can’t agree on a satisfactory compensation package for the 4x league MVP and Super Bowl champion. Green Bay does not want to back off from getting the best draft picks and compensation for their 18-year veteran. The Jets, on the other hand, may develop potential cold feet because of the age factor. Also, the fact that Aaron contemplated retirement this off-season and could only end up playing one more season may prove to be another deterrent.
